Fun Games | Nintendo DSi And XL Prices To Drop Next Month
Nintendo DSi XL launched back in March drenched in Bronze and Burgundy while a new color scheme in the shade of midnight blue was expected later in July. There have also been charging pads available for the DSi and DSi XL from CTA Digital . Now Nintendo has revealed that these handheld devices will sport a new reduced price tag starting September 12, 2010.
With the latest price drop, the company plans to provide value for money while offering loads of treats in the form of various fun games. Both these portable consoles entice players with over 200 downloadable titles and 1,300 packaged games. The devices include a pair of integrated cameras as well as photo- and sound-manipulation software. Players can even upload pictures onto Facebook with a simple touch.
The DSi XL comprises of a screen which is noted to be 93 percent larger when pitted against that of the DS Lite. Gamers can acquire this system complete with pre-loaded titles such as Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Photo Clock, Flipnote Studio and Nintendo DSi Browser.
Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing commented, “We know shoppers want to get the maximum value out of every dollar they spend. Our new Nintendo DSi prices make it easier than ever for consumers to access the tremendous variety of games. applications and social tools on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems.”
As the NPD Group suggests, the Nintendo DS family hardware sales numbers amounted to over 42.3 million in the US by the end of last month. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is scheduled for September 12 while Pokmon Ranger: Guardian Signs and Art Academy will unveil on October 4 and 25, 2010 respectively. Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn are individually endowed with a November 14 and 29, 2010 release date.
The new suggested retail price of the Nintendo DSi system is slated to be 149.99 USD (approx. Rs. 7,026) while players can pick up the Nintendo DSi XL for a price of 169.99 USD (approx. Rs. 7,963). The company reveals that the cost of the Nintendo DS Lite will stay the same at 129.99 USD (approx. Rs. 6,089).
