Love Games | Sale Huge iPhone game: titles from Capcom, EA, Gameloft and 99 cents each
I love the game 99-percent. Wait, that 's not fair: I love games that are priced at 99 cents. So today is my lucky day: three major game developers have cut prices of some of their bestsellers.
Between them, Capcom, EA Games, Gameloft and the sale of nearly 50 iPhone / iPod Touch games for 99 cents apiece – and a handful of titles and iPad. (Update: SEGA titles are available for sale as well.) It is rather unusual. The only problem is finding where to spend my dollars brand new. (Oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably end up spending a dozen of them.)
Capcom 's list is shorter, so I'll start there:
Devil May Cry 4 Chorus
Phoenix Wright
Resident Evil 4 (also iPad)
Street Fighter IV
On the other hand, EA Games (which is "friendly users of Verizon's iPhone") has the longest list of gifts, including:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
FIFA 10
FIFA 11
Madden NFL 11
Mirror 's Edge
Monopoly Here Now: The World Edition
NBA Elite 11
NCAA Football
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit
Need For Speed Shift
Need For Speed Undercover
Pictureka! (Also iPad)
Reckless Racing (also iPad)
Risk: The Official Game
SimCity Deluxe
Snood (also iPad)
The Game of Life Classic Edition
The Sims 3
The Sims 3
The Sims 3 World Adventures
The Simpsons Arcade
Yahtzee (also iPad)
Phew! Quite a list. Finally, we come to Gameloft, which has 13 titles on sale as part of a Valentine 's Day promotion (which ends February 14, natch). Here is the rundown:
Brothers In Arms 2: World Front
Kings Fishing
Hero of Sparta II
Golf Let s'! 2
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Real Golf 2011
Shadow Guardian (also iPad)
Shrek Kart
Spider-Man: Mayhem Total
Star Battalion (also iPad)
Zombie Infection
Gameloft also allows users to vote on a 14th game, which goes on sale for 99 cents on Feb. 14. The only catch: to vote, you must "type" Gameloft on Facebook (a step I know that some users won 't want to take).
My question for you: If you had only $ 1 to spend, which of these games would you buy – and why? I 'd probably give the green light for Madden NFL 11, but, man, it' s appeal of its difficult.
Update: SEGA has also a lot of games on sale for 99 cents, including Altered Beast, ChuChu Rocket (also iPad), and Super Monkey Ball 2.
